"Is the SAAR audit free?"+
Yes. SAAR's audit is free. We are based in Mumbai and come to your office, wherever the business runs, spend a few hours there, and come back with one recommendation and one price. You do not need to know what software you want. If it is not for you, you owe us nothing.
"How much does custom software development cost in India?"+
SAAR builds start at ₹5L, with one price agreed before work starts. You pay 50% in advance and 50% on delivery. It starts there because senior people do the work: no juniors learning on your money, no six-month timelines. Our guide to what custom software costs in India gives the full market ranges.
"How long does it take to build custom software?"+
About four weeks from the agreed quote to live, for one focused build. If SAAR runs late, the price does not change: the delay is our cost, not yours.
"Custom software or ready-made tools like Tally, Zoho or an ERP: which should I choose?"+
Ready-made first, if it fits. Tools like Tally and Zoho are cheap and good when your process is standard, and SAAR's audit will tell you when one is enough. Custom software earns its price when your way of working does not fit a ready-made tool, or when your team will not use one. It does not replace Tally: your accountant keeps working in it, and what we build works alongside it.
"Should I hire an in-house tech team or use an external team?"+
For a first system, an external team is usually cheaper and faster. A minimal in-house tech team in India costs ₹40L to ₹80L a year and takes four to six months to assemble. An external senior team such as SAAR builds one system for ₹5L to ₹15L. In-house makes sense once software is a permanent part of the business. "What can AI do for a manufacturing or family business?"+
The repetitive work: reading orders that arrive on WhatsApp, raising invoices, following up payments, answering and sorting enquiries, and finding answers in your own documents. SAAR builds these as AI agents that work from the rates and rules you approve, so your people stay in charge of the decisions.
"Will my team have to change how they work?"+
No. SAAR builds around how your people already work. If your team lives on WhatsApp, the system lives on WhatsApp. We train your team in person until it sticks, and that training is part of the build.
"What does custom software cost to maintain after launch?"+
After launch the system is yours and keeps running. SAAR's yearly support plan, what many businesses call an AMC, is optional. It depends on the project, and as a guide it comes to about 10 to 20% of the build price a year, quoted before you decide. Because you own the code, you can also run it with your own people.
"Who owns the code and the data?"+
You do. With SAAR, the code, the data and the cloud account it runs on, such as AWS, are all in your name. Your books, rates, processes and customer lists stay yours, and we sign the legal agreements that protect them before work begins.
"Can SAAR take over a failed or half-built software project?"+
